SICILIAN ORANGE HONEY IN BRIEF
Organoleptic characteristics:
- Physical state: spontaneously crystallises a few months after harvest.
- Colour: Almost colourless to straw yellow in the liquid state, white, sometimes pearly, to beige in the solid state.
- Smell: Very characteristic; floral, fragrant, fresh reminiscent of Zagara flowers.
- Taste: Normally sweet and aromatic.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, preferably at +8 C – +12 C. Keep away from heat and light sources.
Minimum shelf life: 24 months.
Suggestions for use: ideal for use in yoghurt or in the preparation of biscuits and cakes.
